Club de Osos de Buenos Aires

The intriguingly named "Bears' Club" was founded in 1997 with the aim of reclaiming men's manliness: revindicating strong, hairy, mature, and masculine men and rebelling against the gay stereotype of slim, elegant metrosexual youngsters. The "osos", or bears, in their different subspecies (polar bears, grizzly bears, puppies, etc.) and their admirers began growing in number and now their clubhouse, which is laid out like a typical neighbourhood club, with a function room, patio and even a pool, hosts charity events, talks, lectures, cinema nights, and football and volleyball tournaments.
